Migration Story Sculpture
Cast in bronze, this striking sculpture evokes a distant era when mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, and other megafauna roamed the Earth. It portrays a defining moment in human history: the nomadic life of prehistoric peoples. The piece will stand between the parking lot and the main entrance of the Chickasaw Heritage Center.
Three figures journey together—a man, a woman, and their dog. The man, draped in saber-tooth hide, embodies the hunter-provider, his spear and atlatl symbolizing the struggle to survive. The woman, clad in animal skins, reflects ingenuity and adaptability.
